DR Bureau to meet in Madrid

This week’s Thursday and Friday, the Bureau of the ELDR Party will convene in Madrid, Spain to discuss topical issues for the Party as well as the upcoming ELDR Council meeting that will take place in Dresden, Germany on 20-21 May 2011. |
... This is to confirm that our meeting to exchange views on the situation of liberalism in the Iberian Peninsula will take place as announced on Thursday, 17th March at 17:30hrs until 19:30hrs at the Hesperia Madrid Hotel.

| ELDR discusses prospects of liberalism on the Iberian peninsula |

On 17 March, the Leadership of the ELDR Party met with representatives of the Iberian Liberal Forum and other liberal parties and think tanks to discuss the current state of political play in Spain as well as to find the way forward for organized liberalism in Spain. An interesting initial exchange of views was held during the 2,5-hour meeting. This cooperation will continue in view of upcoming elections, notably the Spanish Parliamentary elections in 2012. The next meeting will take place on 10-11 June 2011 in Lisbon, Portugal upon the invitation of European Liberal Forum Member Movimento Liberal Social. |
