os adjunto este reciente artículo de José que desentierra del olvido una vez mas la sangrante impunidad que continua acechando al caso de la tragedia de Bhopal con a sus 25.000 muertos y cerca de medio millón de victimas afectadas.

RESUMEN
La saga judicial del caso Bhopal sigue sin haber ofrecido una
solución digna a las víctimas de la tragedia tras más de tres décadas de
litigios. Este asunto pone de manifiesto de forma paradigmática las
graves limitaciones del derecho internacional de los derechos humanos y
del medio ambiente para controlar y exigir responsabilidades a las
empresas transnacionales. Catástrofes masivas y continuadas, como la
provocada por la Union Carbide, muestran que ni los Principios Rectores
sobre Empresas y Derechos Humanos de Ruggie, ni el retórico mantra del
desarrollo sostenible pueden contribuir a atajar el vicioso círculo de
la impunidad. Es por ello que resulta necesario consensuar a nivel
internacional un tratado vinculante en la materia que pueda de forma
efectiva prevenir y sancionar hechos como los de Bhopal.
Espero que le deis la divulgación que se merece en los medios profesionales y periodísticos con los que trabajáis, redes sociales, etc.
Es precisamente la interdependencia entre los crímenes corporativos trans-nacionales y del medio ambiente y los derechos humanos los que conforman el horizonte imperativo de la acción de la justicia a nivel internacional.
Lo peor para las víctimas y también para los que en Bhopal siguen trabajando heroicamente desde el mismo día de la tragedia hasta ahora paliando el sufrimiento de las víctimas que todavia llegan a diario llegan a la clínica, es el olvido.
Fue gracias al escritor y periodista Javier Moro, que José y yo tuvimos el privilegio de entrevistar y conocer la labor de Satinah Sarangi "Sathyu" y su mujer en la clínica Sabhavna de Bhopal. Javier Moro y su tio Dominique Lapierre son de los que mas han hecho por sacar a la luz el caso de Bhopal, denunciar la inacción de la justicia y ayudar a las víctimas (véase el libro "Era Medianoche sobre Bhopal" y el documental "Una Nube sobre Bhopal" dirigido por Gerardo Olivares).

THE CLOSE INTERDEPENDENCE BETWEEN TRANSNATIONAL CORPORATIONS CRIMINALITY AND HUMAN RIGHTS AND ENVIRONMENTAL INTERNATIONAL LAW VIOLATIONS: BHOPAL CASE LESSONS

ABSTRACT: The Bhopal judicial saga has still not offered a dignified solution for victims of the tragedy after more than three decades of litigation. This issue shows paradigmatically the severe limitations of human rights and environmental international law to control and hold accountable transnational corporations. Massive and on-going disasters like this caused by Union Carbide, show that neither the Ruggie’s Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, nor the rhetorical mantra of sustainable development can contribute to tackle the vicious circle of impunity. That is why it is necessary to reach a consensus in order to stablish a binding international treaty on the subject that can effectively prevent and punish acts such as those committed in Bhopal.
I hope you will give it the visibility it deserves in the legal channels and also in the media and social networks close to you.
It is precisely the interdependence between trans-national corporate and environmental crimes and human rights what constitutes the new horizon of the action of justice at a global level through any competent court, national or international, in Tibet and anywhere.
The worst for the victims and also fro those in Bhopal who continue working heroically from the day of the tragedy until this very day soothing the suffering of the sick who still come daily to the clinic, is oblivion.
It was thanks to writer and journalist Javier Moro, that Jose and I had the privilege of interviewing Satinah Sarangi "Sathyu" and witness the the amazing work that he and his wife are doing at the Sambhavna Clinic. Javier Moro are two of the people who have done more to give visibility to the Bhopal case, denounce the lingering impunity and fundraise for the victims. (Check their book "It was Midnight in Bhopal" and the documentary "A Cloud over Bhopal" directed by Gerardo Olivares).
