Invitation to submit candidatures for the No Peace Without Justice Award 2013

No Peace Without Justice will celebrate International Human Rights Day by launching the “No Peace Without Justice Human Rights Award” which will be awarded in Rome on 9 December 2013.

The NPWJ Award is intended to recognize those who are working the protection of human rights, fundamental freedoms, democracy and the rule of law both in Italy and around the world.

We are seeking candidatures of political activists, civic leaders, NGOs, associations and citizens’ groups. Applications are open from 17 October to 17 November 2013 through our website www.npwj.org .

An international jury, comprising prominent leaders in the field of human rights in Italy and abroad will examine candidatures between 18 and 28 November, in various categories, including both national and international human rights work.

Award nominees will be informed of the outcomes of the selection process by 30 November and Award Laureates will be invited to Rome to receive the Award on 9 December 2013.  The NPWJ Award provides political recognition and does not have a monetary value.

We would be grateful if you could nominate possible candidatures by submitting a letter of support, a curriculum and/or brief presentation detailing the actions of the nominee, the impact, results or potential of their human rights activities.

Applications may be supported by several organisations and self-nominations are allowed.
